I hope I'm speaking for all teens when I ask "why the hell do you hate us so much??"?

So. I'm 14, almost 15. I walk around the mall with my friends and I get dirty looks. If you think about it, sure, there are a lot of teens who are complete screw-ups, lets say there are 10 that you know of. Along with that 10 comes the 990 that are perfectly normal, respectful, happy citizens.

But why would you care about those normal ones? The media just gets this insane high of exploiting the few wrongs so that they seem to be the norm. THAT'S NOT TRUE!!! But, be honest, if you're an adult you probably still assume it. And, if your a mother, you definitely believe that. I'm not gonna lie most of us rebel against our mothers, and are embarrassed about them and act kinda weird around them. Why we do it, I'm not even sure, but when we are with our friends, or just with family and no friends, we're pretty decent people. Sometimes we just prioritize our friends more. Maybe it's because we know, no matter what, our families will always love us, and our friends... especially being a girl... won't. They just help us get through some things, but they are gone in a second. Just like that.

And it's ironic. They stereotypical teenaged girl is slutty, wears too much makeup, revealing clothing, fails all her classes and is always pissed at someone. It's also ironic that during the presidential campaign, ACORN was going on the streets and everywhere and telling stupid, uneducated people to vote, vote, vote for Obama. But, I am a much more informed citizen then they are, and I can see the big picture. And you know what, I would have voted for McCain. And I think the Stimulus Package was completely asinine. Because, when it doesn't work, how the hell are we supposed to pay that back? But, that's beside the point. Either way, most of us are pretty damn smart and should be given a lot more respect.

I could name a couple of charities started by people my age. I have friends who volunteer out of the kindness of their hearts and help other people. Most teens have jobs where most adults don't. And, on top of it all, most screwed up teens become screwed up adults. Happy, normal teens don't become screwed up adults, they become respected members of society. You. You're probably just a normal, respected adult. And, you know what, sure, you made mistakes, that's just part of life. But, you weren't a bad teenager. You weren't taking nude pictures of yourself and giving them to your girl/boyfriend. You weren't always mad at the world, walking around like no one matters. And if you were, are you a decent, happy person now?

Sending ANY kind of pornographic picture, that is of an age person, over the internet is illegal. I stumbled across this website because I searched 'nude beach' and a photo of a fully naked girl 7-9 years old popped up-I was shocked to see it and went to the website to read what they had to say about themselves as a website. After reading their website and reading a mess of other stuff on the legality of it all- I do understand that it is in fact legal because they are naturists and the content is not of a sexual nature (in their opinion-but what about the opinion of pedophiles-which I think should be of concern). It's hard for me to believe that the site is all about family nudism and such though when nearly 95% (so it seems) of the photos on the website contain full frontal photos of girls only (average age 7-16 maybe). You are not the first to question this website. As others have said, the pictures in themselves are not illegal to the best of our knowledge in either the US or the UK at least, as they do not involve posing of a sexual nature. I say "to the best of our knowledge" because the law, in the UK, is very vague.

It is important that we don't demonise pictures of naked guyren simply because of the nudity, as to do so would be to make the innocent family picture of the guys in the bath or running through the sprinkler on a hot day illegal, in which case most families would have broken the law at some stage! It is also true that a picture of a clothed guy can be pornographic if posed seductively! We live in an age of paranoia which is not healthy and certainly isn't creating a mature and responsible attitude in our guyren, teenagers in particular, towards the human body.

The high level of guyren and in particular young girls, in this site's pictures has caused us at British Naturism to be suspicious of their motives or at least their intended market, so as a consequence we have refused to accept advertising from them on our website or in our magazine. Much of what is written on their website is good - it is just their concentration on guyren in their pictures that causes us to have doubts.

Is nudism a revolutionary tool, especially to teenagers, that should be embraced?
I am just beginning to learn about my sexuality and develop some views and personal morals. One of the things I have just read has pushed me into a belief that nudism truly IS the best way to deal with sexuality within teens, is that, in the Netherlands (a place where there is very little restrictions to drugs and sexuality) teens are 9x less likely to get pregnant than in the US (where the social boundaries are much stricter.) I am thinking this is because teenagers want to see the other side. Why are adults making such a HUGE fuss about this thing called sex? I have also learned other things about sexuality, maturity and phsycology that seem to point to this.
One of these things I read on Wikihow, which suggests that guyren who are not allowed to run naked, or nudity is shunned, are more likely to proceed in sexually negative attitudes. I have also heard from my summer camp councellor, a few years ago, that the teens that go to the boarding school he worked at, where they are basically allowed to do whatever they want, seemed much more grown up and mature than those that are not. I grew up in an environment that was VERY much against nudity, sexuality or even the discussion of teenage life in general (ANYTHING that happens in parties) as a result I ended up INCREDIBLY messed up (to the point I am ashamed to explain the extent of my desires) and I think the ONLY thing that might have saved me from going down the wrong road was my girlfriend of today, who has been through what it is like to grow up in a broken family. I am reading stories about different peoples experiences with sexuality and it seems to me like the majority of them end up messed for TWO different reasons. Either;
1.) Like me, they felt they had NO say when it came to sexuality and their own lives and felt suppressed
2.) Like my gf, they grew up in families where the commitments had been smashed and they were not given ANY guidance on where to take their life.

Basically, the two extremes to each other. This is why I think that nudism might be the best answer. It provides the guy and teen with an environment that is free of any sexual restrictions, but it also gives the parents a chance to mentor their guys through any questions they may have. One of the primary problems, I am finding out, is that many parents hold discussion about sexuality as an absolute taboo. This then means that the guy is unable to express their sexuality and hence lack in an area that needs to be nurtured. On top of all the potential phsycological benefits I see in nudism, I see one FINAL reason nudism should be appraised, how often have you had to sit in a puddle of a soggy swimsuit, potentially full of sand, and the heat clinges it to your body, VERY UNCOMFORTABLE. How often have you gotten ABSOLUTELY soaked IN YOUR clothes and then had to spend the rest of the day in a puddle of your own filth, EVEN MORE SO. Nudists NEVER have to worry about this, and are NEVER so uncomfortable! Why, then, don't you just take those wet, uncomfortable clothes off and go bare. Apparently it feels SO much more revitalizing to swim nude as well. Remember those wooly swimsuits from back when they first came out, can you IMAGINE swimming in wool? Get with the times, nudism just makes more sense. I would LOVE to hear what you have to say to this, if you feel that I am missing something, PLEASE SHARE!! I recognize that there may be FAR more knowledgeable individuals out there than me and I would LOVE a second opinion on this. :)

Also, nudists, I am still a little bit old fashioned and I have A COUPLE of major issues with nudism.

1.) I feel turned on by nudity, what steps can I do to stop being such a pervert and just enjoy the social unity with nature and each other. Nudism as a tool? I've not thought of it like that before, but yes, why not? What you have deduced about the effects of Nudism is absolutely right. Just one point where I disagree: It does not "provide the guy and teen with an environment that is free of any sexual restrictions". All the same restrictions that you would expect in textile society still apply; the difference is that you will find Naturists (nudists if you prefer) more open and able to discuss sexual concerns. 3) If you are living with someone TELL them of your addiction and make sure they know your passwords and SEE what you are doing online. Agree verbally with them that you want to stop and that they should check on you. If you are not living with someone there are sites online that will help you with this..or if you would just rather not involve your family.

4) If you cannot get these people off of your mind....PRAY FOR THEM. Praying for them out loud will let the devil know that you are NOT buying into his lie that this will bring you happiness.

5) Buy the book and the workbook "The Bondage Breaker" by Neal Anderson. You can get this at most Christian book stores. Books a Million has them also. Read it as soon as you can and do what it says. If you are serious about getting away from this....this will work.

I know a girl who made sure her man used condoms and now she has hep C because she thought it was protecting her from that. Nope, just from pregnancy.

I'm guessing you should be one of those who gets tested regularly.
It's "bad" because not only can you contract horrible diseases you can spread them to others. So yes it can negatively affect others. In fact it can KILL.

Question about my (lesbian) sisters behavior?
First off hello (this is the 1st time I posted here in this category;o)

Ok, my sister/best friend is 43 and she's a lesbian.

I have NO problem with her being gay -at all so please dont assume that)

That being said, I am confused by her actions/attitude lately, and I hope someone here could shed some light.
OK:
She dated one woman (I'll call K) for 25 years, and they broke up 3 years ago. While she was with K, she kept the butch side of her to a minimum. Like she always kept her hair long, and she wore womens clothes. (nothing frilly and never dresses though) She basically carried herself as a female with suttle male characteristics (kind of like a tom-boy) She kept her lifestyle private when she was with K. For example they didn't make out or touch one another in any sexual way in front of friends or family. And they didn't flaunt it or discuss it in front of the guys. They hugged and held hands and our guys just thought they were best friends, even K's 3 guys didn't know they were a couple until they were teens -and they all lived together.

Then my sister met "L" and she changed completely. She shaved all her hair off, changed her whole wardrobe to mens clothes, underwear, cologne, shoes & accessories. She gets racy and pretty raunchy with L no matter where they are, even in front of my guys (which were 1,5,9,11 when she met L 2 years ago) They make out, grab eachothers asses, and grope eachother (which is sweet & all, but not in front of the guys!?!) Also she has her apt full of lesbian art and bunches of partially nude photos of them in bed, in a bubblebath etc... (And I am not sure thats appropriate for my guys to see)

Well the cats out of the bag, and my 2 older guys have questioned her sexuality to me, and honestly...I was upset. I thought they were a bit too young to ask/know about this type of thing. And I would have preferred they gradually came to understand, rather than have it thrusted in their faces so abruptly the way it was. Its not the gay thing that bothers me, it the raunchiness of it all. (Even if she were straight, this behavior in front of my guys would not be cool) My guys were like "ewwww!" when I tried to explain it all to them, which confirms that they ARE too young to understand.

I tried to talk to my sister about this, and its like shes not even there. She doesn't get it at all and doesn't see any problem.

I am thinking that this is what she always wanted to be, and now that she is not with K she feels free to be what she wants? Maybe she kept it on the DL because thats how K wanted it? OR is she behaving this way now, because thats what L wants in a partner? Hmmm. I am not sure I know who the hell my sister really is!

So my question is...am I the one that has a problem & needs to lighten up, or is she out of line? How do you handle your relationship in front of your guyren, nieces, nephews? How old were they when they found out you were gay/bi or other? How did you tell them?

i can see where your comming from, and i agree with the double edged reasoning, one, i dont think its to young for guys to know, given that straight relationships are taught just as early, HOWEVER, i do not condone what your sister is doing as a method. while i believe queer relationships should be taught and known right up there with straight ones, straight ones are not taught with nude pictures that early, so why this?

on that note, i would ask your sister to tone it down around the guys, but i would also be teaching my guys about all types of relationships asap (not sex or anything, but just the bit that people love people, not gender a loves gender b), the longer you wait, the more stigma there is to beat.
