| Maybe you're from a different part of the world than me, but when a hardcore band attracts 500 people around here, that's a HUGE turnout, and the only time they would play to 5000 would be at a music fest. I've been to many great hardcore shows by great harcore bands(Agnostic Front, 7 Seconds, CIV, Sick Of It All, Suicidal Tendencies, etc....), and many of the shows did not or barely made 150 or so people in the crowd. Some of the best hardcore shows I've ever experienced only had a dozen or so fans at the show. With that said, talent and promotion can get you anywhere. There is no limit to the following a band can get or the attendance levels at their shows. Just don't EXPECT to be selling out arenas and such. Try for it, though.... |
